November 7, 2011 Napa, CA “The Daily Meal” (www.thedailymeal.com) is co-producing Barrel, Bottle & Beyond, a behind the scenes look at food and wine from the Napa Valley with vintner Katie Hamilton Shaffer of Toolbox Wine Co. and San Francisco based Mobile Broadcast Network.
Barrel, Bottle & Beyond is the perfect blend. Chef, winemaker and host Katie Hamilton Shaffer is uncorking MBN’s first-of-a-kind mobile video platform to offer The Daily Meal audience a taste of behind the scenes in wine country’ from the harvest, through the craft of winemaking, to the pleasure of dinning with family and friends. “I’m excited to take viewers on an adventure beyond the bottle,” said host Katie Hamilton Shaffer and founding vintner of Toolbox Wine Co., “There are so many stories that never get told and events not experienced’ this is going to be fun!”
The Daily Meal launches Barrel, Bottle & Beyond on a date that occurs once every thousand years – 11.11.11 – with food and wine coverage from the inaugural Napa Valley Film Festival. “We are thrilled to work with Katie and The Daily Meal to tell the stories from California wine country”, said MBN CEO, Fred Campbell. Barrel, Bottle & Beyond programming from the Napa Valley Film Festival will include celebrity chef and winemaker interviews, complemented with culinary commentary from filmmakers and actors in attendance.
The pilot series will be available on www.thedailymeal.com, The Daily Meal Facebook page and Toolbox Wine Facebook page thru the Holidays and into February 2012.
