The resort also tested snowmaking in the base area for the first time, and summer trail grooming work was completed on the resort’s main ski trails to allow for an earlier opening.
The RAD Card Program is a new digital gift card service dedicated to small, locally owned Tuolumne County businesses. Additional matched funding through ARPA and local donors has sold out. However, visitors can still support various restaurants, personal care services and specialty retailers year-round by sending an e-gift card through the program this holiday season.
Tuolumne County offers hundreds of breathtaking trails to choose from. Take advantage of the upcoming “Trail Heads” winter program to help navigate the abundance of options and keep score this winter. The program includes a downloadable map of the top 12 trails in Tuolumne County, a landing page with an expanded interactive map of trails and the ability for visitors to earn badges as they complete trails.
Tuolumne County Restaurant Week returns January 21-30, 2022 to celebrate local cuisine, chefs, wine and cider makers and food producers. Throughout the special week, various restaurants will offer special menu items, discounts, unique culinary experiences and more.
Major Anniversaries:
Hetch Hetchy, Yosemite National Park’s least crowded entrance, is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The Hetch Hetchy Reservoir offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. Due to its low elevation, the area also offers one of the longest hiking seasons in the park.
