Can-Am Spyder recently reached out to me with the opportunity to demo one of their products and work with them until September promoting some of their events as well as some of their current Can-Am Spyder models. The good news is that California (where I live) is one of the states that doesn’t require a motorcycle license to ride this vehicle.
What is this vehicle? Is it a motorcycle, a bike, an ATV a Trike? No, none of the above – it is its own unique design.
The idea behind this design dates back to 1997 when Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP, the parent company) challenged itself to create a 3-wheel design with its target audience being at that time, 95% of the population who did not ride motorbikes or similar vehicles. Ten years later, the resulting first Can-Am Spyder was a machine that had good control, incorporated a number of automotive technologies and had a catchy unique Y frame design. Successive Can-Am Spyders have continued to improve on the overall original design.
Currently three models are offered. The upgraded Can-Am Spyder RT model offers a new high-torque engine, 6-speed transmission and a three-wheel design that combines to provide the ultimate open road touring experience.
The Can-Am Spyder ST (sport touring) is more sporty than the RT. The Can-Am Spyder RS (sport) is meant for speed and is designed to be sporty.
Go to racing sports girl Danica Patrick is one of the spokespeople for the Can-Am Spyder. She is holding a contest through Facebook where fans can help her choose her particular model. Any person who helps her choose will also be entered in a contest to win one of their own.
#ad I have been commissioned by and will be working with Can-Am Spyder for this program and resulting content.
