Author, columnist, traveler Susan Spano has journeyed the world reporting on culture, nature and the curious human race. She launched the still-running “Frugal Traveler“ column for the New York Times, then joined the staff of The Los Angeles Times which sent her to the City of Light from 2003 to 2006 to start the popular travel section blog “Postcards from Paris.”

Welcome! I'm Tricia. I delight in telling stories through my writing and photography. Fortunate to have explored more than 55 countries, I believe in the power of citizen diplomacy. Career-wise, I've dabbled in writing and photography as well as the fields of education, training and international relations.

Originally from Germany, I haved lived and worked in the UK, Qatar, Oman, the UAE and have just moved from Australia back to Europe to one of my favouriote cities in the world: Paris. It probably doesn't come as a big surprise that due to my somewhat nomadic nature I specialise in writing about travel and the expatriate life style. To date, I have published some 1,000+ articles, features and news items plus photographs in around 100 international publications, ranging from CNN Travel to The Telegraph, from the LA Times and Four Seasons magazine to The Australian, and numerous inflight magazines.

Carol Perehudoff is a Toronto-based freelance travel writer. She writes a column at the Toronto Star, Canada’s biggest-circulation newspaper on solo travel.

Formerly a nonfiction editor and touring musician, I now contribute to World Hum, Transitions Abroad, Time Out New York, Edible East End, DRAFT, BootsnAll, and Nordic Reach.

Whitney Tressel is a freelance photographer, photo editor, and world traveler based in New York City. She is currently the Photo Editor of Budget Travel magazine and is also their on-staff globe-trotting photographer.
