I’m Ioana, founder and editor of Expat Trip – A Luxury Travel Journal guiding you around Austria & Beyond.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel from a young age with my family and have been to a multitude of amazing places. If my full-time job could be to travel, I would drop everything and go.

A military upbringing must have triggered some sort of traveling gene in me. Or perhaps it was the World Cup in 2010 when Spain won. Either way, I've grown to love to learn about new countries and cultures and see the world with my own eyes.

To this day I have visited 168 out of 196 the worlds countries (193 UN coutries + Kosovo, Vatican, Taiwan). I hope to have one day visited them all. I would be honored if you would follow the rest of my journey either here or on facebook.

I have been addicted to travel since I was three years old and escaped from the confines of the family home and set off for Windsor – on foot.
