Adventure Travel with a Twist of Luxury

If anyone had said to us ten years ago “one day you two will get married, then leave the UK to travel, live and work abroad” we’d never have believed them. In fact we’d have probably laughed at the idea.

This site began as a travel journal for my ‘big trip’ around South America but has now expanded to become an on-going travel journal and outlet for information that I want to share. I hope to offer useful tips on planning and prep, day-to-day discoveries and food information for my fellow Celiac and gluten intolerant travelers. I hope you enjoy reading the posts and photos, but more than anything I hope it inspires you to get out there and see a bit more of our amazing world.

I'm a writer, photographer, and sometime sketch artist. Three years ago, I fell in love...but with the world, not "the one." Ever since that fateful first day in Stockholm, this journey has taken me from a pearl farm in the South Pacific to a rickshaw run across India. The Great Affair is all about seeking inspiration, opening yourself up to adventure, and falling in love with the world. I'm glad you're here!

Canny Traveller

Lo, a self-described Inspirational Explorer, is a travel personality, an experience collector, a visual story teller and on occasion a muse for artistic expression. She founded Can’t Stay Put after quitting her career as an Event & Marketing Manager in an effort to use her platform to inspire others and figure out a way to travel for a living. Having started flying by herself at age 5, averaging almost 7-10 solo flights a year, she was no stranger to the world of travel.
