So Ive decided to try something a bit left of ordinary. Im leaving my apartment and selling my belongings, putting all my faith in myself and my abilities as a photographer and going for broke. I will either succeed, sustaining myself as I travel the continent or Ill fail and have to come back and start completely over. For me, the risk is worth it as Im tired of the way things are currently.

My family never went anywhere, I've been traveling ever since. I'm the Italian-American author of MURDER IN ITALY (Penguin) about Amanda Knox.

My name is Olivia and I’m currently living and working in London, UK. I’m a duel citizen of the UK and the US and grew up living between the two countries. I have also lived in Germany, France and Canada and have been lucky enough to have seen a lot of this world in my 25 years. So I decided put together this site (with the help of my trusty web developer, travel partner and lovely boyfriend Tom) as a way to satisfy my severe case of Wanderlust by documenting my travel experiences.

I ended up starting this blog just before finding a job as a student tour guide. I worked for two semesters taking study abroad students all around Italy and Europe, sharing my story and my passion for travel.

Through our travel blog, we hope to inspire you to get out there and travel. If we can do it then you can. Travel doesn’t have to be expensive. It could be a weekend in the countryside, a city escape, a couple of hours from your home. Then there is the more expensive but rewarding two week trips. We will cover all this and more in our blog. Black & Abroad is a cultural collective dedicated to redefining world experiences for the modern black traveler. Seeing a need to elevate the community through world exploration, Black & Abroad was founded to serve that very purpose.

We are a German couple, traveling the world together. We enjoy exploring different places, getting to know other cultures and gaining new experiences. Besides the main attractions, we always love to leave the beaten tracks and try to find the local way of life.

Lois and Chichi met when they worked for the Training Department in the same company. There were many commonalities, among them the passion for travel and adventure

We are currently in Puerto Rico and before that we were in the Cayman Islands. We decided to start blogging our travels and take you all along with us. The squad consists of two brothers, Lance and Tyler and their significant others Jalynn and Kayanna.
