We are a couple in our 20s from Wisconsin who now call Minneapolis home. We’ve been married since 2009, and traveling together for even longer. We both love traveling to experience new things, find adventures, explore new cities, and meet interesting people. We both quit our full-time jobs in January of 2013 to travel exclusively.

We are Marisa and Jamin: just an ordinary couple who love adventure, love wildlife and love to travel. We created This World, Traveled to document our adventures and inspire you to get out and explore the beautiful world in which we live. While traveling, we have developed a love for exploring the unknown. Visiting new places allows us to experience new flavours, cultures and adventures that we would have otherwise missed out on.

Not yet 30 years of age, Trevor has visited more than 40 countries and unearthed a lifetime of knowledge about the intricacies of efficient and wallet-friendly travel. Focusing recently on lesser-known parts of Europe and the far reaches of Latin America, he brings a passionate approach to finding the best value for the travel dollar, without sacrifice.

We're just a regular married couple who decided to try life outside the suburban box. We never thought we could do it. I mean, we had a 2000 sq ft house, how could we get rid of all that junk, much less live without all of it? In 2014, we've traded our white picket fence, soccer practices, and 2 car garage for living out of suitcases and nomadic traveling.

Im Holly! I spend a lot of time reading and daydreaming about travel and adventure (though I admit I havent been on a horse in years). Until a more permanent escape is effected, I call Columbus, Ohio home. This blog is a way for me to share my travels and what inspires me.

This journey is a huge step into the unknown for myself. And many more first steps will follow during my 14 months world trip. They will most probably make me experience a broad spectrum of emotions. Facing fears, approaching challenges and laughing with strangers can be a valuable source of inspiration too. At least it makes for good stories.
