Hello! Im Kelly, the face of the heart of a traveler. My love of traveling began when I took a celebratory graduation trip to Italy, Greece, and Turkey right after high school. On that trip I discovered a deep desire to see the world, and a passion for exploring new places and trying new things. And Ive been traveling ever since.

So, as I travel the world, gain experience, and meet new people along the way, this blog will serve as a guide to help young minds embark on their own adventures, gain some perspective and learn the ways we can share, discover and grow through travel and experience.

Anyway, I thought I would start writing this blog to share some of the secrets I have learned traveling destinations around the world with my family. We can’t all be digital nomads so this blog is really dedicated and written for all of us who have to get the most out of travel when we get the opportunity.

The Idyll is for travellers who know there’s more to wellness travel than a trip to a beautiful spa. It’s also about eating delicious food, meeting inspiring people, and pushing yourself to try new things. It means travel that makes you feel alive.

Shelly and Brady are two adventures at heart who love to travel the world. We travel in a unique way that allows us better immerse ourselves into the culture, sights, smells and sounds of a country.

Simply put, I love to travel! I’ve been fortunate that my career has allowed me to travel to many destinations and allowed me to collect airline miles to go many other places on vacation with my family. In my posts, my focus is on sharing information for those who wish to travel independently, which is my favorite way to go. I’ve been to over 50 countries, and try to post regularly on recent visits and places I’ve visited in the past. I love Europe and the Mediterranean especially.
