My aim here is to simply give my readers some taste of the joys and the challenges, the ups and downs, I have experienced on my journeys, impart a smile or two along the way, and hopefully inspire you to “get out of town.”

In April 2013, I quit my full-time fashion job in New York City to travel the world for the very first time. I left my apartment, sold most of my belongings, and booked a one-way ticket to Europe with my camera, a backpack, and a life-sized cutout of my father’s photograph.

This travel blog is meant to encourage people from all different backgrounds and walks of life to soak in and appreciate what this world has to offer. Like many of you, I work full-time, have student debt to repay and always run out of time. However, as cliché as it sounds “We only have one life to live” so start living it now! Not tomorrow, not next summer or when you get that new job but RIGHT NOW!

My name is Trisha and I am one of those people who gave up their comfortable life to travel the world.

Over 2 years ago I hung my well deserved degree on the wall, grabbed a backpack and jetting off to Australia. I had very few plans past the first year. I picked up random jobs where i could, from selling sausages on the side of the road to working on a Hunting Camp in Arnhem Land. 20 months exploring Australia confirmed to me that I was never going home. Since Australia I have been jumping place to place, from Indonesia to Sweden to Thailand to New Zealand.

I’ve spent almost 20 years working as a journalist then moving around in the wonderful world of communications and public relation. This blog combines my passion for the written word with that of travel. Posts run the gamut, from camping in Alaska to snorkelling with a whale shark in Costa Rica to winter “yurting” in Gatineau Park.

Pulped Travel is, quite simply, a product of my great love for travel at home in the UK and, as far as my wallet will carry me, around the world. The site is aimed at those who like to travel. I am here for those who get excited about travel. The people who relish the prospect of exploring a city, a new country, relaxing on beaches, swimming in the sea or simply adventuring through mountainous countryside in pursuit of what this wonderful planet has to offer.

We are Grace and Matt, a couple from Brooklyn by way of Seattle and Aix-en Provence in France respectively. We know, there are a lot of travel blogs out there. However this website simply stems from our passion for traveling, writing and photography, and the desire to share our experiences, lessons learned and favorite things to do with others. By presenting the site in English and French, we hope to bring more content to more readers.
