Joan has traveled extensively in the USA including 48 of the 50 states. More moderately she has traveled in Israel, France, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, London, and Canada.

My dream has always been to travel and to discover new places and cultures. Before going anywhere I make a deep research of the place. I want to know everything: the history of the country and the city, which landmarks are worth visiting, which are the best places to eat and the coziest hotels.

For the last 10 years I have been a trailing Navy spouse, following my Naval Officer husband across the United States and the globe. After living in Italy and then Japan and transitioning to civilian life, we are currently in Edinburgh, Scotland. Our military life gave me the opportunity to travel the world, with a baby and then toddler in tow. I love to share stories about my trips, but also about my other passion, antiques, design and shopping!

Im a D.I.N.K. (Double Income, No Kids). Follow along as B (that would be my husband) & I travel the world, blissfully unburdened by strollers, diaper bags & Elmo-related meltdowns. Ill be the one with my toes dug in the sand, pontificating about my love of NYC, a cup of coffee in one hand, a local craft beer in the other & a camera slung over my shoulder.
