I have been traveling for almost two weeks on my USA challenge ’50 States of Wigge’. Will I be able to travel to all fifty states in 50 days and face a unique challenge in each state? Continue to join me on Dave’s Travel Corner for challenge and trip updates!
Basically it still looks good, since I have been rushing with my road weary van through 18 states, having driven almost 4,000 miles and to date I have faced 18 challenges. Here are two of my challenges so far this week.
Germantown Challenge in Maryland
I have reached Germantown to face a Germantown challenge. Obviously I thought that Germantown might be this beer and October fest related community, where blonde women in sweet dirndl walk around to meet and greet me with open arms as their latest visitor.
But things can sometimes be different during a USA challenge as compared to in Germany. Case in point is the parking lot here; no beer and no October fest – it is just a huge mall with a big parking lot. Here is my video for details of this challenge:
The New Jersey Crowd Challenge
I have been in the southern part of New Jersey and I expected huge crowds and masses all over the state. Why do I say this? New Jersey statically is the U.S. state with the highest population density. My imagination spins like this: packed streets with hundreds of people, all squeezed together. Right? So where are all the people to face a New Jersey crowd challenge?
But all I saw were empty streets. No one even crossed the street or hung out in front of a store.
How could I possibly face a New Jersey crowd challenge? How could I possibly squeeze myself into a crowd to feel the bustling way of life in Jersey? Here’s my answer:

We enjoyed your update and videos from your visit to the Garden State. f.y.i. = if you ask a New Yorker where’s New Jersey, the answer you’ll get is = “it’s the light at the end of the Lincoln Tunnel”. Enjoy your USA adventure to all 50 States. We’re tuned in.
