The Changi Singapore Airport is one of the world’s nicest airports (and quite sizable). Conveniences and customer satisfaction are hallmarks of a stop here. High speed internet access is offered along with laptop docking stations and a variety of electrical outlets to service the international visitor. In addition there are Internet terminals that one can use free of charge.
A movie lounge plays movies nonstop 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Unlike many airports service announcements are kept to a minimum especially during the night (IE no annoying security announcements every few minutes). Helpful staff are on hand at various information counters throughout the airport. Changi offers a gaming area, “resting rooms”, special foot massage chairs, a butterfly garden and peaceful outdoor terrace Sunflower Garden.
If one has more than 5 hours between flights, city tours are offered – again all of these services are provided at no charge – although often these fill up quickly. The airport does offer additional services for cost including the use of a rooftop pool, a transit lounge offering showers and sleeping accommodations, as well as massage, numerous dining options and a airport hotel.
This is a major airport player when it comes to shopping. There is no shortage of name brand stores and also more local shops. For the official airline website, visit: www.changiairport.com
