The Anne Frank Museum is a must see for anyone visiting Amsterdam. The house is located in the center of Amsterdam next to one of the main canals in this part of the city. Its merely a 20 minute walk from the Central Station. By visiting her house (now converted into a museum) you will see where she hid for several years and even her original diary. The house is a series of small rooms and narrow walkways. Photographs and other items are on display.
This is a very popular attraction and it is best to arrive in the early morning, otherwise the lines to get are extremely long. Allow at least an hour for the entire tour. There are no guides, rather you walk through the house reading the plaques and historical information at your own pace. There is a nice sit down cafe located at the end of your tour.
