Ricks Cafe Negil Jamaica is located in the popular tourism town of Negril. In contrast to the smooth seven mile strip of the nearby “Seven Mile Beach”, Rick’s is perched on top of the West End Cliffs, a jagged set of rorck that affords one excellent views of the ocean. For this very reason this is “the place” to be for watching the sun go down. In addition, Ricks is also home to the cliff jumpers, a group of daring young men who jump from trees planted next to the cliffs. For those less adventurous, ledges are available towards the top of the cliffs for testing your bravado. For those who want to say “yea mon, I’ve jumped at Ricks” but don’t posses the bravado necessary to jump from the cliff, there is a platform about 10 feet above the water!
If there ever was a word for Rick’s Cafe it is “resilient” – Rick’s has been completely destroyed 2x in the past 25 years by vicious hurricanes. Beautiful people flock to this cafe like bees to a hive at night. For those who want a daytime experience, check out their gorgeous cliff side pool and cabana. Rick’s has been voted one of the ten best bars in the world by Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine. For more information visit: http://www.rickscafejamaica.com
