“On Location in Lone Pine” is a good book that contains many black and white pictures of Alabama Hills and information about the movies that were filmed there. Dave Holland is the author.
Another book worth reading, which covers information about the Lone Pine area as well as other cities and attractions in the Eastern Sierra is “California’s Eastern Sierra”, written by Sue Irwin. This book is a guide that covers the area from the Lone Pine region to Bridgeport in the north. Good color photos.
