- Country Kitchen is located right in the middle of Big Pine on the west side of 395 at 181 S. Main St. They serve excellent breakfasts. We’ve eaten here when it was called Jeff’s Country Kitchen and have eaten here again since the ownership change around 2013.
Dave’s pick is the Eggs Benedict. Casual dining atmosphere. Friendly staff with good service. In a small town that doesn’t have much culinary options, this is one of the better and more affordable stops. For more information call: (760) 938-2402 - Copper Top BBQ – in a town clearly lacking in culinary prowess, this is a shining star. Not for vegetarians or vegans – their focus is on BBQ using premium cuts of meat. Great place to hang out in the heat of summer sipping a Death Valley Root beer and wolfing down a Santa Maria style 1/2 lb trip tip – paired with their homemade potato salad. Plenty of sauce. Also half chicken BBQ available.
Approximately two parking spots are located in front – another larger parking area is in the back of the restaurant. Parking also available at times along the nearby side street. Very easy access – directly on Highway 395 at 442 N Main Street in the northern part of Big Pine (note they MOVED locations in 2020 and the last update we have is their is another BBQ place in their old location). Often captures the city folk from Los Angeles on their way up to Mammoth Lakes. For more information, visit: www.coppertopbbq.com
