Posted a review of my time in Napa not long ago – there is lots to see and do right in the city in addition to “up valley”
Check out the article here:

February 7, 2012 at 11:44 pm in reply to: Travelling in South Africa and neighboring countries #31181Just made almost that exact same trip – minus the Cape (next time). Lesotho is definitely worth visiting – so unpolluted by tourism.
Just want to mention a really neat organization, located in Southern Mozambique – Dolphin Encounters: http://www.dolphin-encountours.co.za
I recently went on one of their “dolphin swims” – we found several pods of dolphins; these amazing creatures swam right up to us!
Peat – thanks for the info – it can be overwhelming and we only have about a month. I would love to get down to Capetown – we are def visiting Durban. Namibia will be another trip. Kruger and Kalahari are musts. We will also visit Chobe in Botswana. Really looking forward to this trip 🙂

Looking like we will be flying to Ethiopia first and then down to J’Berg – from there going overland to Swaziland, Lesotho and Botswana. Want to visit Durban on the coast as well – any ideas for what to see and do in these countries?
Thanks
Dave
We recently interviewed proprietor of Napa’s oldest winery, Peter Mondavi Sr. He is the owner of Charles Krug Winery – founded 1861.
I’m hoping to get to the North Pacific in October of this year – Guam and the Marshalls. My brother recently got back after sailing from Mexico to the South Pacific and living on the boat for most of this year
