Thanks Ryan, I look forward to reading your entries – I wouldn’t imagine the Vatican has too many people interning?
Regards,
Dave
Dina holmesI always read reviews, to get an idea of what a place is like, if I am not paying a lot of money for a hotel or holiday I don’t expect 5 star ratings, but when you read some reviews an awful lot of people expect to much for to little money. Usually I am only trying to find out if the place is clean, and the area is friendly and safe, and of course as long as there is a few handy pubs around. I find if I do a little searching it pays off and you can get some real bargains, I have only dropped a clanger once and to be honest a friend booked it, But if somewhere has bad reviews it does not necessarily put me off unless every review is bad, As I say I try to read between the lines then make my mind up. I do think reviews are great at quickly sorting the really crappy places out though, and it is great that some people will take the time to let others know about them.

isaacoomberTravellerspoint each produce a free blogging platform aimed squarely at independent travellers. The first online travel blog is the Global Network Navigator. TravelPod platform is heaving with features, but this wealth of options often left me feeling a little confused.
Possibly of interest – here’s a list almost all hand entered and researched by me – pushing 1800 domain names (no .blogspot, .wordpress etc) travel blogs: http://www.davestravelcorner.com/links/blogs-of-travel/ – if yours is not listed on there, let me know. Thanks
