ediciusHello, not exactly sure if this is the place to ask these sorts of things but anyways, any information would be much appreciated.
So I basically want to go to africa to just explore that part of the world. but i really dont want to do this with any tour aggency or other orginization. Pretty much I want to just be on my own or with a friend and traverse the continent for a few years and maybe gain an understanding of a different culture from my own.
So my questions are: Can it be done? how should one prepare themselves. What would be the monetary costs? and would I have to do some sort of application process to be allowed over there?thanks in advance
-AlexAlex – you can defintely explore parts of Africa by yourself or with a friend. Be sure you have the appropriate visas ahead of time – as many African countries do require a visa (depending on your home country). I have been to Africa several times – always by myself and never with a tour group.
If you are always moving from place to place, the travel costs do add up in Africa. Probably $25 to $75 per day depending on how you like to travel.
Regards,
~ Dave
