will be retireing early next year and am seriously thinking about moving to mexico. I want to be near the coast somewhere where the fishing is great. However, I also want to be able to either rent or buy a small affordable house away from the tourist areas.
It would be nice if there were some other English speaking people in this area as well.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Doug, check out the AARP website for retiring to Mexico. It gives great information to get you started (especially if you’re planning on buying coastal property). http://www.aarpmagazine.org/travel/Articles/a2004-01-21-mag-retiremexico.html
it seems that Mexico is becoming the dumping place for folks who can’t afford the US anymore.
+ spanish speaking does not seem much in the mood 🙁
