New Zealand Travel?

Hi. We are considering leaving for New Zealand in about 2 weeks and plan on staying for about 10 days. We will be flying into Auckland.

We would like to see & do as much as we can on a budget of about $1500 for two of us. We will most likely be staying in campgrounds (assuming the weather isn’t too bad) and don’t mind roughing it at all. We want to spend time outdoors hiking & having adventures.

Any suggestions on places to see? Things to do?

Campgrounds are good – also RVing it can save time and maybe some money depending on how cheap a deal you find. Sounds like you will be mostly in the north island? I’ve spent some time on both islands, but more on the south island. I love the outdoor activities – Milford Sound, Queenstown, etc – I have a short guide I wrote here:
