lucybhageeruttyIndia is not famed for its diving, most people wanting a diving holiday go further south – Sri Lanka, Maldives or Seychelles. But there is in fact a tiny cluster of wonderful islands just off the south-west coast of India that are fantastic for diving as well as being an absolute tropical paradise. They are the Lakshadweep islands, it is something of an exclusive destination as only two of the islands are open to foreign visitors and its not cheap either as you have to fly from Kochi and then either boat or helicopter to Bangaram island but wow is it worth it. I would go just for the food alone and to laze around on the white sand, but yes the diving is fantastic too.
Ive just put the itinerary up on my site but still waiting for quotes for the flight. Should have price there soon. Combined with the backwaters of Kerala I think this is my ultimate holiday yet.
