njwoodshello all,
Thanks for the tips and I hope to book a trip to Australia soon myself.I know it is a big place, what are the favorite spots to visit? I know about Sydney, but I may like a smaller city to get around easily on foot and for shopping.
mcortez62I’m going to be travelling to Austraila here soon & I was wondering if anyone has been to Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park?
It’s supposed to be this amazing place to visit while in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is at the western end of the George Gill Range, just over 300km southwest of Alice Springs.
Thanks
Jecs DuminyTahiti is expensive. it is French so prices are so so much higher than bali or Thailand. You would be in NZ and Australia during the peak season school holidays so accomodation prices will be expensive unless you plan in staying in Back packer hostels.

ThanksKings Canyon is AMAZING! I visited there in 2006 – but don’t think much has changed! There’s a walk that takes you right into the canyon – it requires a pretty high level of fitness but well worth it. We stayed at nearby Kings Creek station with both camping and cabins, and meals available. There’s also a campground and accomodation at Kings Canyon. Absolutely well worth a visit – also seen in the Australian movie ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’!!
Red Nomad OZHi to those planning a trip to Australia! My blog has links to other Australian travel blogs that might help you decide where to visit.
Smaller cities that are good sightseeing destinations include:
-
Adelaide, South Australia (heritage buildings, wine areas, close to Kangaroo Island and National Parks
-
Cairns, Queensland (Great Barrier Reef, Wet Tropics, Atherton Tableland
-
Perth, Western Australia (Wildflowers, Rottnest Island)
-
Alice Springs, Central Australia (desert, gorges, closest main town to Uluru and KataTjuta)
There’s plenty more, these are just a few.
Happy to answer any other queries you might have!
Lex87Anyone ever been to Norfolk Island? I hear its amazing! And the people are super friendly. It was originally a penal colony, like Australia, but for the really bad convicts. Now it only has a population of about 1500. i did some reading on the island and now I want to go! Let me know if you have any experiences there.
Thanks!I always book with Bookit.com Vacations
ColinWiseI hope that Namco Bandai Games plan for this game and I hope they like this game too……..want to go! Let me know if you have any experiences there.
