The Venice Experiment by Barry Frangipane is the story of Barry and his wife Debbie’s decision to “take a year” off from their life in the USA and move to Venice for one year. Prior trips to this historic and canal filled city drew them back to explore in more depth and discover the city as a resident would rather than just a tourist.
They find the relationships they create a big part of their year here, not to mention the amazing food and Italian macchiatos spiked with grappa! Barry (known in Venice as Guiseppe) infuses humor into a number of situations complicated by language, the quirks of the Italian culture, Acqua Alta (tides that inundate the city at times), and electrical problems.
