Pulled into Pristine, Kosovo in the middle of the day. Everyone said there wasn’t much to see in Pristine but I went anyways – having wanted to see the city and the country that I heard so much about during the early 1990’s. This also happens to be the 100th country I’ve visited to date!
Pristine is a crowded city with not much for the tourist to do – however there are a few points of interest.
There are two large boulevards that cross – normally this is not something of note however one of these major streets is called Bill Clinton Blvd and the other is George Bush Blvd. We stood at the intersection of both and took the photo below. Bill Clinton’s name is bandied about quite often in this city – I saw many Bill Clinton signs and there is also a three story hand painted mural of him on the side of one of the buildings!
From what I saw of this small country, western Kosovo is a very picturesque place with rolling hills and deep valleys.
