Songkhran, Thai New Years
Historically April is the hottest month of the year in Thailand. Presumably the warmest days are mid month - conveniently this is when Songkran is held every year. Visiting North Korea (not really)
During a recent visit to Yangon, Myanmar a friend of a friend working in the city informed us about a North Korean restaurant within a 10 minute drive of where we were staying (the Merchant Art Boutique Hotel). While on a boat cruise on the Chao Praya River recently I thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool to jump on a jet ski and zip past all these temples, river boat barges, long tail boats, ferry boats, river cruise boats and anything else that commonly floats past the banks of Bankok". Intense Travel, Bangkok

A Visit to Kazbegi, Georgia + Badly Designed Road Tunnels
We reached a series of tunnels all above 2,000 meters. Normally these are cheerfully accepted road landscape as we know they are built to save time and also they are often a safety feature of high altitude roadways. Tbilisi at First Glance
Our shared van sped across the mountains of northern Armenia seemingly on a race track - passing every vehicle in our path. At speeds like this, the drive was thrilling - and beautiful when we could catch glimpses of the surrounding countryside. Visiting the World’s Oldest Winery in Armenia
Arguably the highlight today was visiting the world's oldest known winery - located about an hour and 10 minutes drive from Yerevan (based on the way our driver took to the roads aggressively - probably much slower if driven normally!). This site was 'discovered' in 2007 and was excavated by Armenian, Irish and American archaeologists until about 2011. What they discovered was astounding.
