I currently live in South Carolina. Outside of my family, my passions are education, history, and travel.
I grew up in the Air Force which fueled my appetite for travel. Most of my teenage years were spent in England and traveling throughout Europe. I love traveling and experiencing different cultures and architectural history. I am particularly interested in the 16th through 19th centuries, which ties in with my love of genealogy.
My current educational endeavors include enrollment at the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, Scotland, working on my Master's degree in Genealogical, Palaeographic, & Heraldic Studies. I completed my first year of the program earning my PgCert and am currently working on my second year for the PgDip.
As a newly retired banker, I am revitalizing my passion for travel. Currently, I am in the process of jaunting up and down the East Coast of the USA, studying the historical sites with a genealogic perspective. The next chapter will be my return to Europe, beginning with Ireland, in honor of my dual citizenship.
As long as we are breathing, we should be learning new things. As long as we are open to new perspectives, we can see the world through new eyes and expand our visions, dreams, and understanding of others.
