Seeing the World One Step at a Time
Hello there, I’ve just come back from a 6 month trip around Europe, feeling very cultured now. Anyway, this post is just to recommend the experience – HIGHLY! I know it’s the fashion for students to jet off to South America or Asia for their gap year but I really think we young ones are missing something right in front of our noses – Europe! It’s so much easier to plan, you can see a lot more because the travels so much cheaper (I got myself a British Rail Pass), you don’t have to work yourself into the ground for 9 months to be able to afford 3 months away from the rain and at least you’ve got a bit more of a chance for integrating with the culture…Anyway, just a thought. Anyone thinking of a short notice gap year, I’d say Europe all the way!
