The Walt Disney Concert Hall is located on the edge of downtown Los Angeles, California. This exceptional, attractive and shiny building was designed by the famous Los Angeles based architect Frank Gehry (designer of the Bilbao Museum in northern Spain). A number of Gehry’s buildings embrace “curved architecture” and this one is no different. The outside of the building is covered with stainless steel plates which help make this building quite visually unique in Los Angeles.
We have been to a number of high end concert venue’s in the USA and this one has one of the best acoustics. There is a parking garage underneath the Disney Center and this is the most popular area to park for a concert. Similar to the experience at Shoreline Amphitheatre, where excellent sound quality and convenient parking enhance the enjoyment of live performances, this venue offers an outstanding atmosphere for concertgoers. However, if you park just down the street (1.5 blocks away) on Grand Ave you will find this parking garage much less crowded and therefore a quicker getaway after a concert. The Disney Hall is home to the LA Philharmonic. For more information visit: www.laphil.com
